We recognize that we are on land that was stolen from the Wabanaki people. The four tribes in Maine, the Maliseet, Micmac, Penobscot, and Passamaquoddy are known collectively as Wabanaki: People of the Dawnland.
During Indigenous Peoples' Month, and always, we honor the people who were here first. We recognize and celebrate the heritage, cultures, traditions and contributions Indigenous People have given to the Earth and the world.
